The U16 M Cougars won the Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Association’s State Cup Presidents Cup on Mother’s Day with a thrilling 3-2 overtime win over a very strong Berks-Ajax team. The Cougars scored two goals in the first five minutes of the game, but Ajax scrapped their way back into the game, scoring one goal in each half, and took it to overtime. The Cougars went ahead half-way through the first 10-minute overtime period and held on through the second to seal the victory. They will move on to the Regional tournament against the winners of the northeastern states in New Hampshire during Memorial Day weekend. Great job boys, and best of luck at Regionals.
