QSC Travel Teams Lift Christmas Spirit

Adopt a Kid helps those who could use a little extra support.

Check out what a couple of our teams did....

This year the U11F Freedom and U14M Chaos, along with other local families adopted 40 local kids, totaling over 200 gifts. The Team Leaders set out to do this as a way to support those in need and teach our children the importance of helping others and to giving back.  A funny thing happened along the way - the parents got a bit of a reminder about "who has what", or should it be, "who doesn't have"...It was a reminder that even the basic essentials, like some new clothing, a warm winter coat and blankets are still needed, right here in our Community. Some of the gifts were on display in the QSC Clubhouse.

The Club wishes to Congratulation Amy Harwick, who led the effort.  She said:

"I could never have done all of this myself, but with family and friends, look what we accomplished. Teach your kids the value of working together, to accomplish so much more...But with happy tears in my eyes, I say THANK YOU and wish you all a MERRY CHRISTMAS".  This sort of effort should make everyone smile.  Thanks Freedom and Choas Players, Parents and Coaches who worked so hard on this to bring some holiday spirit to others.
